Remoter locations or private moorings no problem. Further details below:
About West Coast Yachting Brokerage
The aim of this brokerage service is to provide everything that the
mainstream brokers will, with a significantly more personalised service, at a
highly competitive cost, for boats which are located on the West of Scotland. If
you are BUYING please browse through the boats listed above and get in touch; if
you are thinking of SELLING here are a number of reasons to list on this site:
- ABYA Membership. I am an associate member of the Association of Brokers & Yacht Agents - this means that
I abide by their code of practice and use their standard contract documentation which provides the safest legal position for buyers and sellers alike.
In addition I hold both Professional Indemnity & Marine Trade insurance, and all financial transfers are handled via a bona-fide Client Account.
- Individual "mini site" for each listing. The detail listings for each boat are small multi-page
web-sites in their own right which makes them more attractive to search
engines. Significant SEO (search engine optimisation) experience allows me to
further enhance pages to maximise the chances of your boat being found online;
obviously the more information you provide the better
- No up-front costs. As
with most brokerage services commission is only payable on a completed sale
and there are no extra advertising costs. Current commission rate is 6% (minimum fee
applies). Commission-free paid listings available for boats less than £4000;
please call to discuss
- All boats personally examined and photographed. I do not list boats that I haven't visited, which not
only helps to create the listing but means potential buyers can be assured of
an up-to-date, detailed knowledge of the actual vessel when they call. Taking
my own photographs minimises duplication of pictures across different
brokerage sites meaning that users are likely to look at your boat again on
this site even if they have already viewed it elsewhere
- YachtWorld.com membership. Listed on the largest online clearing house for
brokerage boats. The vast majority of yachts for sale in the UK and abroad are
now listed on YachtWorld.com and anyone in the market for a boat will
certainly be looking there. Any vendor serious about selling needs to be
listed there
- Google pay-per-click ad campaigns. Targeted adverts displayed when particular key words are entered
into search engines are an EXTREMELY effective way to alert potential buyers
that your boat is for sale.
- Backup services. In addition to accompanying buyers to your boat,
I can also provide help with preparation, cleaning, repairs, even hauling
out for survey etc. in your absence (charged extra to commission rate). This
means that you don't have to take your boat to a yard or marina to put it up
for sale. Even if your boat is on a private mooring in one of the remoter
areas, many buyers are surprisingly willing to travel to the west of
Scotland to view - it's scenic beauty and renown as a sailing area
justifying the trip in themselves
